America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship: For students going into an ag-related field of study. Apply between November 15 and February 1. Website is www.GrowAgLeaders.com

American Legion Auxiliary Parley Nursing Scholarship:  To assist students pursuing a degree in the nursing field.  Must have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the American Legion or Auxiliary. $350, Deadline is April 20.

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship:   Membership and/or affiliation with the American Legion or Auxiliary is not required. Need is an important factor in determining the recipient of the scholarship. Deadline is May 1.

Associated General Contractors of ND Scholarship:  High school seniors who plan to enroll in Construction Management or Construction Engineering at NDSU, or construction related courses at BSC or NDSCS.  Website: www.buildnd.org/scholarships Deadline is April 28.

Automobile Dealers Association of ND:  Loan repayment for those going into automobile mechanics. Website: www.adand.com

Bank of North Dakota - Real Deal Scholarship: High school seniors who have a cumulative GPA greater than 2.5 and plan to attend a ND college or university in the fall. Eight $500 scholarships awarded monthly across the state. Winners may apply for an additional $3,000 award. Website: www.banknd.nd.gov

Betty Asche Memorial Scholarship:  Scholarship to be given to the valedictorian of the graduating high school class.

Butler Machinery: Caterpillar ThinkBIG Program: High school seniors who are accepted are guaranteed a job following college graduation and get paid while going to school. Website: www.butlermachinery.com

Case IH Scholarships: For those interested in diesel tech programs. Website: www.titanmachinery.com

Cass County Mutual Insurance:  Parents or grandparents need to be policy holders, must attend a ND college. Deadline is April 15. Website: www.casscountymutual.com

CHS Scholarship Program: Awarded to students enrolled in an agricultural-related program at NDSU. Award is $1,000. Deadline is April 1. Website: www.chsinc.com/stewardship/leadership-development/scholarships

Class of ’63 Scholarship:  Must be a senior graduating from North Sargent, and plan on attending a trade or technical school.  Deadline is April 15.

Coca Cola Scholarship:  Application is online, must have a minimum 3.0 at the end of the junior year, based on a number of criteria, like academics, school activities, and community and volunteer activities. Apply online at www.coca-colascholars.org. Deadline is October 31.

Crop Improvement and Seed Association Scholarship:  Guardian must be a member of their county Crop Improvement Association. Three - $1,000 awards to incoming freshman and three - $1,000 awards to undergrads planning on attending the NDSU College of Agriculture. www.ndcropimprovement.org Deadline is February 15.

Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative:  Parents must be members of the co-op, $750, Deadline is February 8.

Dakotas Electrical Apprenticeship Program: Electrical apprenticeship five year program where the student learns through on the job training. www.dakotasjatc.org

Delahoyde Seed/Pioneer Hi-Bred Int.:  Two $600 scholarships to high school seniors from Sargent County.  Preference is given to those who plan to pursue a career in the agriculture field.  Deadline is March 13. 

Dickey Rural Networks:  Applicants parents or guardians need to be DRN subscribers, and indicate an interest in returning to a rural community to further their career. www.drtel.com $500, Deadline is February 15.

Dushinske & Jamison Water Resources Scholarship: Two - $1,500 scholarships. Preference given to students studying water-related fields and students whose families have taken active roles in state water resource management. Deadline is April 1.

Farm Credit Services:  Must be from an actively farming or ranching family or planning to pursue an agricultural career. Based on academic record, personal attributes, vocational promise, leadership, and financial need.  Fillable application at www.agcountry.com Amounts from $500-1,000.  Deadline is March 1.

First Community Credit Union (Milnor): Applicant/Parent/Guardian must have been a member for at least one year. Must be a graduating high school senior. Website is www.myfccu.com/scholarships.html.  Ten scholarships of $1,000 given. Deadline is March 17.

Forum All Star Scholarship:  Based on academics, ACT scores, student involvement in school extra curricular activities, and involvement in the community. The school nominates two students.   $500, Deadline is March 31.

Full Circle Ag Scholarship: Awarded to a student pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in agronomy, crop production, or closely related fields. Available to high school graduating seniors or to students currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year relevant program.  $500, Deadline is April 15.

General Equipment and Supplies: For those interested in diesel technology. They will pay up to 90% of the tuition in a two-year program. Website: www.genequip.com

Green Iron Equipment: $1,000+ for someone interested in becoming a service technician for them, must be entering a John Deere tech or diesel tech program.

Home Builders Care Scholarship:  Applicants plan to enroll in residential construction trade or a related field at Minnesota State Community College at Moorhead or NDSCS. Website: www.hbafm.com

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship:   Minimum GPA of 2.0 for a student showing critical financial need, involved in extracurricular activities and community activities, and demonstrates integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.  Various scholarships, including career and tech ed. J & M Printing Scholarship:  Criteria - student intending to go into a graphic arts printing, communications, or business field, $250.

Jamestown College Scholarships:  Various scholarships. Check in the counseling office or online at www.uj.edu

Kendall Erickson Memorial Scholarship: Recipient must have attended North Sargent all 13 years, based on community and school involvement, respect, and good character.

Kiwanis Educational Foundation: $825 scholarship, must be planning on attending VCSU. Due January 15.

L. W. Melroe Scholarship: Based on financial need, capabilities, and scholastics. Deadline is May 1.

Laverna A. Satre Memorial Scholarship:  Goes to a graduating senior or deserving college student planning on a teaching career.  Criteria are:  Character, leadership, ability to succeed, grades, and financial need.  If no applicants are in the field of education, next consideration will be a graduating senior in high school planning on going to a 4-year college or university. 

Lester Peterson American Legion Scholarship: Available to graduating seniors who are directly related to a member of the American Legion Post.

Life Happens Scholarship Program: Open to applicants who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian. www.lifehappens.org/scholarship

Lisa Burdolki Memorial Scholarship:  Scholarship for high school seniors, 4 - $300 scholarships given, which makes them eligible to compete nationally for $1,000 Jaycee scholarships. http://nd.usjcisenate.org Deadline is January 15.

Lynnes Welding Training Scholarship: Must have a GPA of 2.5 or over. Website: www.learntoweld.com/financial/scholarships Deadline is May 1.

NIAAA Scholarship:  Applicant must have participated in at least two sports for two years, have a minimum B+ average, be in  the top 25% of the class or an ACT of 24. www.niaaa.org/niaaa-awards/niaaa-student-athlete-scholarship Deadline is February 28.

North Dakota Association of Counties: Must be between 17-22 years of age, and have a parent or grandparent who is a county government employee. www.ndaco.org Deadline is June 1.

North Dakota Conservation District Employees Association Scholarship:  For high school seniors and college students pursuing an agricultural, natural resource management, environmental  or related field at a 2- or 4-year university in the state of ND. $1,000, Deadline is March 7.

North Dakota Corn Growers Association: Applicants must be a child of a current ND Corn Growers Association member. www.ndcorn.org/scholarship Deadline is January 5.

North Dakota Crop Improvement & Seed Association:  Two $1,000 scholarships to incoming freshman at NDSU College of Agriculture. Parents or guardian must be a member of their county crop agriculture improvement association. www.ndcropimprovement.org Deadline is February 15.

North Dakota Farm Bureau Scholarships: Numerous scholarships for farm bureau members. Check in the counseling office or visit our website at www.ndfb.org/edusafe/scholarships

North Dakota Farmers Union Scholarships:  There are a number of scholarships. Main criteria is that guardians must be Farmers Union Members.  Check in the counseling office or visit our website at www.nfu.org/education/scholarships

North Dakota Firefighter and EMS Scholarship: For EMS responders - $750 scholarship, must maintain a 2.0 GPA; For firefighter - student working towards an Associates Degree in Fire Science through Northland Community College in East Grand Forks, or MN State Community College in Moorhead - $2,000 award. Also, scholarships for those who are members of a fire or EMS department or have a family member that is.

North Dakota Game Warden Scholarship: Established to assist students in pursuing a four-year degree towards fisheries and wildlife management with an emphasis on law enforcement. North Dakota Grain Dealers Educational Foundation: Students must be enrolled in an agricultural related curriculum. Deadline is September 29. Website: www.ndgda.org

North Dakota Grocers Association: Open to sons and daughters of full-time employees of firms which are members of the ND Grocers Association or part-time employees of a member. Website: www.ndgrocers.com Deadline is March 20.

North Dakota Propane Gas Scholarship:  Applicant must have parents who have bulk propane supplied by a member of ND Propane Gas Association. www.ndpropane.org Deadline is March 26.

North Dakota Rural Water Education Foundation Scholarship: Family has taken an active role in state water resource management. Deadline is April 1.

North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association:  Awarded to a student whose family receives water service from a rural water system provider. www.ndrw.org  Deadline is January 31.

North Dakota Scholars Program:  Tuition grants for the top ND high school seniors attending an in-state institution.  Selection decisions are based on academic records, including ACT scores.  Must take ACT by June of junior year and the scores are automatically sent to ND University.

North Dakota School Counselors Association:  Essay required, school counselor must be a member of NDSCA.  $1,000.

North Dakota Stockmen's Foundation: Various scholarships for those going into beef related majors, or other agriculture related majors. www.ndstockmen.org Deadline is March 1.

North Dakota United Foundation: Scholarships available to a member or dependent of an NDU member who is pursuing post-secondary education in any field of study including vocational, associate or bachelor degree program. www.ndunited.org/benefits/scholarships-and-grants Deadline is March 1.

North Dakota Water Education Foundation Scholarship: Family has taken an active role in state water resource management. Deadline is April 1.

NDSCS STEM Scholarships: Scholarships to NDSCS for students pursuing degrees in science, technology, or math related programs. Criteria - must be enrolled full-time at NDSCS in a qualifying program, demonstrate financial need, and hold a high school or college GPA of 3.0 or better and a score of 22-24 or higher on the ACT. Deadline April 1.

North Sargent Alumni Scholarship:  Must be a graduating senior, planning on pursuing a post-secondary education, with at least one parent having graduated from North Sargent, Gwinner, or Stirum. 

North Sargent Faculty Scholarship:  Given to a graduating senior, planning a career in education or related field, shows school and community involvement, academic achievement, attitude and fulfillment of ability.

Oakes Hospital Educational Gift Program:  Offered to a high school senior or a college student planning on going into a medical field. www.oakeshospital.com Two scholarships of $750 given. Deadline is April 22.

Pheasants Forever Scholarship: A scholarship of $500 will be given to a graduating senior. The winner will be chosen on the basis of an essay.

Prudential Spirit of Community Award: Awards volunteers in Grades 5 -12 for exemplary community service, complete applications online at http://spirit.prudential.com Deadline is November 13.

Pudge Waloch Scholarship:  Given to a senior who has attended NS at least 3 years, prime consideration will be athletic ability, attitude of good sportsmanship, possesses good leadership, contributes unselfishly to team effort and be respected by teammates.  $100.

RDO Equipment:  Tuition reimbursement program for students interested in the heavy equipment industry. www.rdoequipment.com

Reuben T. Guenther Scholarship:  Scholarship for a graduating senior who has completed a career and tech ed. course in high school, and who is planning on entering a 2-year post-secondary career and tech ed. program. www.nd.gov/cte/students/RTGScholarship.html Deadline is April 1.

Ross Loibl Memorial Scholarship:  Graduating seniors who will be enrolled in college, have participated in varsity basketball, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.  $1,000, Deadline is April 1.

Sanford Health Scholarship:  High school senior who will be entering college majoring in a health care related field.  $500, Deadline is April 20. 

Sargent County Bank Scholarship: Scholarship for $500 given to a graduating senior. The award will be based on the Six Pillars of Good Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Applicants will be asked to write an essay on selected traits. Also taken into consideration is how the applicant has shown these traits during their years at North Sargent.

Sargent County Farmers Union Scholarship: Parents must be members of the Sargent County Farmers Union. Student applying may be a senior in high school or may already be in college. $500, Deadline is April 15.

State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship: Scholarship applications available beginning in January, only the first 700 received applications are accepted, up to 50 winners will receive $2,500. Must be a graduating high school senior with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.2. STEM Scholars Program at NDSCS: Enroll in one of the 19 eligible NDSCS STEM programs, have a GPA of 3.0 or better and a score of 24 or higher on the ACT.

University of Mary: Sister Thomas Welder Leadership Scholarship.  $3,000 or up to full tuition. Need a 3.25 cumulative GPA or a score of 24 or higher on your ACT to qualify.

University of Mary: A scholarship of $8,000/$10,000 per year for a student majoring in wildlife/conservation biology or biology with a minor in environmental science. Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a math ACT score of at least 25. Other factors may be taken into consideration. ecoweb.umary.edu
